Privacy Policy
This policy explains how personal data submitted through veevow.com is handled.
Data controller
Veevow Property Group SL (NIF B93836872), Avenida Matas Verdes 2E, Oficina 35, Estepona, Málaga, Spain, is the controller for personal data submitted directly to Veevow through this website. Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@veevow.com.
Data we may receive
- Name, email address and telephone number.
- Messages, property references, enquiry context and property address where relevant.
- Technical anti-abuse information. The enquiry service uses a one-way hash derived from the requester’s IP address for rate limiting; the lead record stores the hash rather than the raw IP address.
- Information you choose to provide during a buyer, seller, valuation or property enquiry.
Why we use personal data and legal bases
- Responding to enquiries and requested pre-contract steps: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, and otherwise legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in responding to genuine enquiries.
- Operating and securing the website: legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in preventing abuse, diagnosing faults and protecting website services.
- Legal and regulatory obligations: Article 6(1)(c) where records must be retained or disclosed to comply with applicable law.
- Marketing communications: only where there is an appropriate lawful basis and any consent required by applicable law has been obtained. You can object or unsubscribe at any time.
Property services and recipients
Live property information may be requested from connected property-data services when you search or open a property page. Where necessary to deal with your enquiry, information may also be shared with service providers, professional advisers or collaborating property professionals who need it for the requested service. Veevow does not sell personal data.
International transfers
If a service provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, Veevow will use an appropriate transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.
Retention
Enquiry data is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage the relevant property relationship, maintain appropriate business records and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can differ depending on whether an enquiry becomes an active client relationship or transaction.
Saved, compared and recently viewed properties
Saved properties, comparisons and recently viewed references are stored locally in your browser and are not automatically submitted to Veevow. You can clear them through your browser or the relevant website controls.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR and Spanish data-protection law, you may have rights to access, rectify or erase personal data, restrict or object to processing, and receive portable data where applicable. Where processing relies on consent, consent can be withdrawn without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
To exercise a privacy right, contact hello@veevow.com. Veevow may need reasonable information to verify identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD) if you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when website services, legal requirements or processing activities change. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
