Veevow data governance

Urbanisation data methodology

The directory is designed to be useful without pretending that every map point, distance or local fact has the same level of certainty.

Publication rule

Readiness before reach

Veevow keeps the wider research master separate from the public directory. A record can appear in the interactive Explorer while an individual profile remains unpublished until its location and supporting information pass the relevant checks.

The published page must say what is known, identify the date of the check and make any limitation visible to the reader.

Location labels

Exact address point means an address has been individually checked. Indicative point means the marker is useful for area discovery but is not presented as an exact building location. Shared area reference means more than one community uses a wider local reference.

Nearby information

Distances and nearby services are not treated as permanent facts. Where calculations require recalculation after coordinate confirmation, the page suppresses exact distance claims and directs the reader to Maps for checking.

Maps and property

Google Maps is a verification handoff, not a replacement for Veevow’s data checks. Property availability, prices and specifications remain in the live Veevow feed and are not copied into this directory.

How to use the directory

  1. Start with the municipality or locality page.
  2. Read the verification label before using a location detail.
  3. Use the Google Maps handoff to check the street-level position.
  4. Use the live property search to confirm current availability and pricing.
  5. Contact Veevow before making a purchase decision based on changing information.

This methodology is part of Veevow’s effort to make urbanisation information discoverable, understandable and appropriately qualified for buyers, search engines and AI systems.
